The Hal Holmes auditorium is open to the public for a place to cool down, charge your devices and get out of the smoke. Bring your lunch, the tables are set!
Hours: Tuesday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. & Wednesday (8/5) 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

2026 SRP adult programming starts at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 8/5 with "Chimp Chatter." Learn about human's closest cousins in the animal world! The Chimp Sanctuary's staff will share stories and give information about this local resource 💚

Feel free to drop in for a cool place to eat lunch, surf the web, charge your devices or just relax in the AC. The Ruby Street lobby doors open at 8 a.m. and you are welcome to hang out in the cool air until 6 p.m.

Are you curious about the ancient art of falconry?

Come to Hal Homes on Monday, July 13th at 7 p.m. for a presentation by licensed expert falconers, Clifford and Janna Kellogg and their feathered hunting partners (a Harris’s hawk and American kestrel) as they share their knowledge of falconry.

This will be a great program offered by the Kittitas County Field and Stream Club and a rare opportunity to see these beautiful raptors up close! This program is free and open to all. Bring your kids or grandkids, they’ll love it.

We are excited to announce this weekend, Saturday, July 11th at 1 p.m., there will be an American Shape Note Music Clinic! AND you, yes you, who thinks they can't carry a tune can join in on a community sing-along!

Open to all and beginners are encouraged to join in.

American shape note music is a traditional, a ca****la, four-part harmony singing style invented in 1790's Philadelphia and soon spread throughout the rural south.

It uses a unique, 4-shape notation system (triangle, oval, rectangle, diamond) to represent musical pitches, facilitating sight-reading. Often called "Sacred Harp" singing, it is a social, non-performative tradition now existing beyond its 19th c. home in the rural American south.

The 2026-27 Fishing season has begun, join WDFW and the Kittitas County Field & Stream Club for an evening talking about the best fishing holes and where to find them!

WDFW will have all the fish planting and fishing prospects for us at the meeting Monday night. The sun is shining, the wildflowers are blossoming and the fish are biting! Time to get out there and enjoy spring!

It's going to be a fun night of Brains & Beaks at the Kittitas Audubon Society's Trivia Night. See if you can answer lots of 'whoooo' questions.

The fun part is that no bird knowledge is required to play! Flock on down to the Hal Holmes Community Center at 209 N. Ruby St. on Thursday, April 16th at 7 p.m. and see if you can wing it.... See you there!

Claw into the Kittitas Audubon's March program on Thursday, March 19th at 7 p.m. as speaker Deb Essman presents, "Raptors of Kittitas County".

Kittitas County is home to 18 species of diurnal raptors! This month's close to home program will be about the tricks of identifying and understanding our county's raptors. Some are common year-round residents, some are reliable migrants, and three are rare but not impossible to find here.

Deb is a former raptor rehabilitator, and has always been especially fascinated with birds of prey. Each has its own special way of hunting, flying and nesting. In her program she will not only want to share intriguing facts about each species, but also pass along field identification tips that will make distinguishing each species a lot easier.
