Julie's Haven

Julie's Haven Concept:
Through the implementation of Julie’s Haven’s ‘Purpose, Passion and Power Program’ (3P’s) and our ‘Information, Counseling and Arts Program’ (ICA).

The mission of Julie’s Haven is to inform parents, caring adults, and girls about child sexual abuse and trafficking and to offer strategies that protect girls through awareness and prevention education. The Mission of Julie’s Haven

Julie’s Haven’s mission is to offer girls who have been physically or sexually abused an opportunity to heal by discovering their Purpose, Passion, and Power to begin

or continue a positive healing journey. These programs will help girls continue to heal, serve and contribute to our global society as they strive to overcome their hurt. Julie’s Haven Vision Statement

Our vision at Julie’s Haven is for all girls to identify their purpose, discover their passion, and cultivate a sense of personal and global power. Concept:
This is achieved by providing girls access to Information, Counseling, and Art Programs. We believe that with self-empowering Information girls are less likely to be victimized, and with Counseling, many girls will begin or continue to heal and through the use of Art the healing process can deepen and find practical outlets. Julie’s Haven believes every girl deserves an opportunity to know that she is unique, deserving to be treasured and appreciated for her abilities to contribute to our global society.

Behind every screen, there’s a reality we need to talk about. 👇
The internet is woven into every part of our teens' lives, but it’s also being used to take advantage of them economically and personally. Online extortion is becoming devastatingly common, with minors being targeted through their own images and social networks.
As adults who care, we need to move past "screen time" limits and start talking about safety. Watch this video to learn what to look out for, and share it to protect a teen girl in your circle.

The Adam Walsh Act reshaped how the U.S. tracks s*x offenders, protects children in foster/adoptive systems, and ensures communities have access to critical safety information. It also closed loopholes by establishing the S*x Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). This replaced state laws with one national standard which ensured offenders can’t avoid registration by moving to another state and it made failing to register a federal felony. It created Tier levels of I, II, or III based on the severity of the offenders' crimes. It created the National S*x Offender Public Website (NSOPW) which is a nationwide, searchable public registry that allows families to look up registered offenders anywhere in the U.S.

The CyberTipline mandate refers to the legal duty of electronic service providers (ESPs) including for emails, messaging, social media, cloud storage, hosting, gaming and any computing service that stores or transmits content in the U.S. to report suspected child s*xual exploitation to NCMEC’s CyberTipline.

In addition to CSAM, the REPORT Act now requires ESPs to report online enticement, child s*x trafficking, financial s*xtortion and AI‑generated CSAM when they have actual knowledge of illegal content or activity. They are not required to proactively monitor all user content, to break encryption or search private messages.

Research indicates that individuals who have survived child s*xual abuse are 2.7 times more prone to suffer from clinical depression and generalized anxiety when compared to the broader population. Childhood se*ual abuse impacts neurological development and instigates chronic traumatic stress. In the absence of specific interventions, the mental health repercussions may persist into adulthood.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. Children are experiencing the Four types of abuse: physical, s*xual, emotional, and neglect. Julie’s Haven educates in awareness principles that may help girls and their responsible adults make choices to create a more aware and protective environment. Julie’s Haven encourages girls to embrace her personal value in order to reduce her ‘exposure’ to grooming and trafficking targeting in communities and online.

To truly believe in the value of girls we must first and always protect them from predators of all kinds. We must educate ourselves to the dangers and we must guide our girls in seeing through all the Targeting, Grooming, and Seducing language that is present online, in entertainment, and from the real people they meet in the world. S*xualized Images are pressuring girls to model, copy, and share the behaviors they see. We must speak out for our girls and speak to our girls that s*xual assault and child s*xual abuse is real everywhere. *xualAssaultAwarenessMonth

Child Abuse…Child S*xual Abuse and Child S*xual Trafficking is the underlying CURSE, in all the cultures and economies in the world. We must have a Cultural Shift toward REAL Change that ENDS AND DESTROYS the abuse and exploitation of children. *xualAssaultAwarenessMonth

The s*xual assault of minors is a crime in our homes and it is a crime that is earning billions in the streets, the hidden marketplaces, social media, and chat platforms of all kinds. We must stop this now. We must protect our children! *xualAssaultAwarenessMonth

April is S*xual Assault Month and we want you to see that s*xual assault against children and women will never stop until we have a cultural shift where we see and truly believe that s*xual violence is wrong, immoral and cruel. Until we value everyone’s humanity with dignity we will continue to consume and destroy others while we are truly destroying ourselves. Let's change our minds; Let’s change our actions today. *xualassaultawarenessmonth
