Southern Illinois Bleeding Disorder Community SIBDC provides services and support to patients and families with bleeding disorders living in the S We are a not for profit 501c3 organization.

Our organization was started in 2014 by members of the bleeding disorder community who have personally experienced the effects of living with a bleeding disorder in our area. These founding board members have a clear understanding of the issues and needs in our area specifically and a passion to support those in our community.

Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month Fact of the Day: Since the 1970s and other types of have been treated by injecting the missing clotting factor protein directly into a vein, allowing the factor to immediately enter the bloodstream to activate the clotting cascade. Bleeding disorders are the few chronic conditions where patients can self-infuse their medication anywhere.Newer and future treatments for hemophilia may not require intravenous infusion.
