Republican:
• Republican Platform: “Republicans will…protect the American Homeland, our People, our Borders, our Great American Flag, and our Rights under God.” (p. 21)
• Trump: Issued 67 Proclamations giving glory to/thanking/or mentioning God in some significant way
• Trump: Halted enforcement of the Johnson Amendment
• Trump: Formed Religious Liberty Task Force

Democrat:
• Walz: Issued a National Day of Prayer proclamation
• Democrat Platform: No mention of God as a noun, only as an adjective—“Godgiven.” (p. 13)
• Democrat Platform: “Democrats will protect the First Amendment right to free exercise of religion for everyone, and we will maintain the separation of church and state.” (p. 61)
• Harris: Introduced a bill to weaken the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA)

3. When he was only 14 years old, he served as a translator & secretary to Francis Dana, who was an emissary to St. Petersburg, Russia.

4. JESUS EXPLAINS the PARABLE of the TARES

Matthew 13:36-43 (NKJV)

Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” 37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

President George Washington issued a Prayer Proclamation in 1789, stating, "It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, & humbly to implore His protections & favor."

Duty today means "that which one ought to do."

Duty in the Founding Fathers' time meant "a legally binding contractual obligation."
