Sew and Reap Sew and Reap is a Christian based mission providing comfort to cancer patients, wounded soldiers, active Military and local pregnancy centers.

The quilts are sewn by Volunteers using donated sewing machines, fabric, thread and batting. Then donated to many places such as Union Hospital, Dover Air force Base Mortuary Affairs, Pregnancy centers. Veterans facilities, Hospice pinning ceremonies for our Veterans, and many individuals with terminal illness. We also create fundraising quilts for many causes. We are currently working from several individuals homes in. Cecil County since our little quilting cottage was sold.

Did you ever have a week where you couldn’t find the words to describe the unfolding of the experience?
Well I’ve had one of those weeks. Incredibly blessed beyond measure.
We hosted a Patriot tea with a few special guests. Our awesome team has been so busy these past months creating Patriot quilts for AFMAO, pink jelly roll quilts for Breast Cancer awareness month.
Quilts for the Women’s shelter and pregnancy center in Elkton. Also we created pillow case dresses, shorts, head bands and bows for an orphanage in Ecuador. Been busy as bees. And along with all the creativity lots of laughter and tears.
We had an unexpected blessing with Mr Herb from Friends of the Fallen. He came and picked 35 Patriot quilts to be given as our token of thanks for how the deployers at the Mortuary honor our Fallen.
Mr Herb gifted each of us with a lithograph of the painting, “A Solemn Promise” by Lt Colonel Warren F. Neary. And of course I cried. Again can’t put into words how I feel about our Country and our Service men and women. My heart over flows with respect and honor for all.
God has taken Sew and Reap places I never dreamed. ❤️
To him goes the glory🙌

Barb taught the group how to grid quilt on our domestic machines.
I sure appreciated her sharing this knowledge as we can always use more quilters.
Helps take the load of us long armers tremendously!!
