Augustine tradition, the Flower & Garden Expo is a festival of spring's arrival in the nation's oldest city. Taking place at the Sykes Family Farm March 16-17, 2024, the Expo combines extraordinary plants and flowers with a fun setting and food trucks! Tough as Nails. New Palms to Try in Your Yard Presented by Dr. Rossi, St. Johns Botanical Gardens

This recent 20-year cold spell has pointed out which species of palms, including some new ones, that are as tough as nails! Want a no worry palm that never needs covering? Come listen to Dr. John Rossi talk about "tough as nails palms".

Dr. Rossi, a practicing veterinarian, has been studying palms andacquiring new species from all over the world for the past twenty years. This led to him starting the St. Johns Botanical Garden which now houses the largest collection of palms in Northern Florida.
