The Elkton Lions recently held their annual golf fundraiser, and what an incredible day it was. Great weather, great people, and a whole lot of support for the community.

A huge thank‑you to everyone who came out, played, volunteered, sponsored, or helped make the event a success. Your support keeps our mission strong, and we appreciate every one of you.

Funeral arrangements for Mark Birdsall are as follows: visitation is at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.,Friday, August 28th, in Harbor Beach, Michigan, at Ramsey Funeral Home.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Join us in Congratulating Lion Janet Renn Devroye on being awarded the Lions International Melvin Jones Fellowship Award from 11-D2 Past Thumb District Governor Dave Fisher recently at the District Annual Corn Roast.

The Melvin Jones Fellowship is the highest form of recognition from the Lions Clubs International Foundation. Named after the organization’s founder, it honors individuals demonstrating exceptional dedication to humanitarian service. Janet is a true example of what the award stands for by serving in the Elkton Lions Club, and the Elkton community in many different positions and community projects, as well as serving the 11-D2 District as treasurer and assisting many clubs across the district. Thank You Janet for your dedication and service.

Tomorrow is the annual Lions District 11-D2 Corn Roast at Ackerman Memorial Park in Elkton, Michigan. We need volunteers, particularly for the kids' activities. Please contact Agnes Kosinski at 989-553-1506, if you can assist. Let us make tomorrow's corn roast a worthwhile time for 11-D2 Lions and everyone interested in experiencing the very fun and work done at the district level of Lions International.

One last post before we leave the Huron Community Fair. We can’t possibly say thanks enough for all of the support this week. Our club appreciates each and every volunteer that joined us this week. Our players- you all continue to bless us year after year and for that we are grateful. Even our Facebook friends that helped spread the word- your contributions are valued.

Thanks everyone for a great year, we hope to see you again in 2027!
