This month in Mosaic Elementary, Seeking the greatest treasure!

All year, we walked through God’s Story—ending with the vital role that each one of us has to play. During the summer, we’re digging even deeper into our mission to live like Jesus and share His love with others. That’s why this month’s theme is “Kingdom Quest—Seeking the Greatest Treasure.”

We followed the story of the lost son in Luke 15. Kids will learn that both the older son and the younger son turned away from their father’s love. Whether they had run from God in their actions or just in their hearts, kids will discover that God is always welcoming them home the moment they turn to Him.

Bottom Line: God wants everyone to be part of His Kingdom.
June Memory Verse: Matthew 6:10 NIrV

This month in Mosaic Preschool, we are seeking the greatest treasure!

God’s kingdom is here…wherever God’s people are doing what God wants us to do. And God wants everyone, including our preschoolers, to be part of it. So this month, we are going to listen to Jesus tell stories about tiny seeds, a lost coin, and hidden treasure to help our preschoolers learn that they can be part of God’s kingdom

Jesus tells a story about a father with two sons. The father had saved a lot of money to give to his sons when they were much older, but the younger son wanted the money now. He travelled far from home and spent his money on whatever he wanted, until one day, the money was all gone. He went to work feeding pigs. He was so hungry that he wanted to eat what the pigs were eating. The younger son decided to go home because he knew that his father gave all of his workers plenty to eat. But the father was so happy to see him that he ran to his son; he hugged and kissed him. He gave him the best robe, a ring, and sandals for his feet. He threw a big party to celebrate. The older son was upset but the father reminded him that he loves both of his sons no matter what. Jesus told this story because He knew that God loves us just like that father loved both of his sons. Jesus wants us to share that love with others because God wants everyone to be part of His Kingdom.

Bottom Line: I can be part of God’s Kingdom.
June Memory Verse: Matthew 6:10

We unpacked the story of the lost sheep in Luke 15. God’s heart is to find and rescue those who are sad, lonely, or outcast. In sending Jesus, God provided a way for each of us to be with him and to be part of his Kingdom forever.

Bottom Line: Jesus made a way for you to be part of God’s Kingdom.

Jesus tells a story about a woman who has ten silver coins. When she looses one coin, she does not give up. She lights a lamp so she can see better. She sweeps and cleans the whole house until finally, she finds it! The woman is so happy that she found her lost coin that she calls her friends and neighbors together. She wants to celebrate because she found her lost coin. Jesus knew there were a lot of people listening to Him tell this story. He tells them that if just one person stops doing wrong things and starts doing what God wants, then God would be so happy and all of Heaven would be happy too. God wants everyone to follow His Son, Jesus. When we choose to follow Jesus, you and I can be part of God’s Kingdom forever.

Bottom Line: I can be part of God’s Kingdom.

Jesus used stories, called parables, to explain truths about His Kingdom. This week we learned about the stories of the mustard seed and the yeast (Matthew 13) and learned how God’s Kingdom can grow from small beginnings into something bigger than we can imagine, with room for everyone who chooses Jesus.

Bottom Line: Jesus shows us God’s Kingdom

This month in Mosaic Preschool, we are seeking the greatest treasure!

God’s kingdom is here…wherever God’s people are doing what God wants us to do. And God wants everyone, including our preschoolers, to be part of it. So this month, we are going to listen to Jesus tell stories about tiny seeds, a lost coin, and hidden treasure to help our preschoolers learn that they can be part of God’s kingdom

Jesus tells a story about a mustard seed. A mustard seed is very tiny, but it grows into a very large tree where birds come and make nests in its branches. Jesus says that God’s Kingdom is like that tiny mustard seed. God’s kingdom might start small, but it grows and grows. God is growing a kingdom that will have a place for all of his people, just like a tree has a place for all the birds. But God’s Kingdom isn’t a place we have to travel to; God’s Kingdom is wherever God’s people are. That means God’s Kingdom is right where you are. And it’s all around the world. God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus. When we follow Jesus, we become a part of God’s Kingdom too.

Bottom Line: I can be part of God’s Kingdom.
