📢 Wondering How to Apply for Food Assistance?

Check out our 2026 Income Eligibility Guidelines to see if your household may qualify for services through Elko FISH.

📝 To apply, you can:
• Pick up an application to complete at home and return later, OR
• Visit our Client Services Office and complete an application in person.

If you complete your application in person and qualify, you may be able to receive your food box the same day.

🪪 Please bring a valid photo ID when applying.

🕒 Client Services & Food Bank Hours:
• Monday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

⚠️ Important:
Applications contain sensitive personal information and should ONLY be returned to our Client Services Office during regular office hours. Please do NOT leave or drop off applications at the Thrift Store.

🌟 New Month = Fresh Benefits! 🌟

A new month means your food assistance benefits have reset, so now is the perfect time to plan your pickups and make the most of the programs available to you!

✅ Hunger Grant Food Box - Pick your day!
✅ Mobile Harvest Distribution - June 17th 11am - 12pm
✅ Farmer's Market Food Box - June 25th 9:30am - 11am

That's up to 3 food distributions each month to help support you and your family. 🍎🥕🥫

📅 Don't wait until the end of the month—plan ahead and mark your calendar for your pickup dates!

🥫💙 Did you know Elko F.I.S.H. Food Bank offers 3 different food programs each month? 💙🥫

Our goal is to help support our community by giving individuals and families access to food through these monthly programs. Clients may receive up to 3 food boxes per month — one through each program listed below:

🍎 Hunger Grants
This program allows clients to choose a pickup day that works best for their schedule. Hunger Grant food boxes may only be picked up once per month.

🚚 Mobile Harvest
This program is provided by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, who travels from Reno and uses the Elko F.I.S.H. location as their distribution site. Mobile Harvest usually takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month unless otherwise noted on our monthly calendar.
• A short intake form may be required
• Please bring a valid ID

🌽 Farmer’s Market
Our Farmer’s Market is another monthly food distribution offered by Elko F.I.S.H. for the community. This event is open to anyone in need of food. No sign-up is required and dates will be posted on our monthly calendar.

🚐💙 Senior Mobile Market 💙🚐

Every 2nd Wednesday of the month, Elko F.I.S.H. brings food directly to our senior community through our Senior Mobile Market program.

This special Hunger Grant program allows our team to take our distribution van to local senior apartment sites and set up food distributions for seniors who may not have transportation, are unable to drive, or are homebound.

This program is exclusively available for senior residents ages 60+ and disabled resident members. Our goal is to make sure food assistance is more accessible for those who may have difficulty coming to our main location.

We are incredibly thankful to Nevada Gold Mines for sponsoring this program and helping us continue serving our community with compassion and care. 💙

Summer Food Program Starts Next Week! 🌞

We are gearing up for our Summer Food Program beginning Wednesday, June 3rd, and running through August 5th!

Stop by our office at 346 7th Street between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to pick up your FREE summer food box.

📦 Free for all children ages 2–18
📍 346 7th Street
🕛 Wednesdays, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
📅 July 3rd – August 5th

Please note: Child must be present when receiving a food box. If child is not present, please have their school ID available to show.

A new month means new opportunities, warmer days, and lots happening at Elko F.I.S.H.! Check out our June calendar so you don’t miss any of our events, distributions, and special activities.

Fun fact about June: June is named after Juno, the Roman goddess of family and protection — which fits perfectly because community and helping one another is what Elko F.I.S.H. is all about 💙

Join us Thursday, May 28th for our monthly event Farmer’s Market starting at 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

This is a special event for our community where everyone is welcome, no sign-up needed! It’s just another way Elko F.I.S.H. is here to help and support our community. Please note that our Client Services office is closed this day but you are able to pick up an application if you would like to sign up for our other distribution food box programs and services that we offer.
