In the United States - we have a total of 173 National Veteran Cemeteries.

This September 4th, Elko will welcome ours.

Veterans, families, supporters, please join us for two very special events;

🇺🇸Thu 9/3 5pm -
Our Nevada Department of Veteran Service team will be at the Northeastern Nevada Museum theater hosting a round table.

Meet our state support system, ask questions and learn what is coming for our Northern Nevada community.

🇺🇸 Fri 9/4 10am -
Cemetery Dedication hosted by Sam Brown, VA Under Secretary Memorial Affairs. This will be a one hour event with a full Honor Guard and Firing Squad of active duty service personnel.

Finally! Mutt Monday is here!

Today we meet the sweetest, smartest, goodest boy - JAX!

As a retriever mix, we’d like to take the time to highlight the phenomenal service dog traits that come with this breed!

🦴 bred historically for patience and focus
🦴 their temperament combines intelligence with friendliness and a strong desire to please
🦴 naturally gentle mouth and sturdy build gives them the ability to stabilize an unsteady person while retrieving everyday items carefully

Jax is about 2 years old and neutered, he has great car temperament, praise and toy motivated (much more than food)

He is 100% person focused! This boy is ready to learn anything you want to teach him!

The team Elko Veteran Corps are bringing back the POW/MIA balloon again for this year’s Balloon Fest!

Once again we are giving free rides to our veteran community - if you’d like to join in on this fun and meaningful opportunity, click the link to enter. Rider names drawn on Aug 30!

EVC is super excited to announce we are the POW/MIA Balloon Sponsors again this year! And once again that means we have 6 spots available for our local veterans to have the chance to ride in the balloon! We had so much fun last year and hope you'll join us this year.
