We had a great presentation from the EHS FBLA group. They have 12 members qualified for Nationals at the end of June in San Antonio, TX. 5 of them came to give us a presentation.

Kamille and her family will attend the 2026 Rotary District 5190 District Conference, themed "Far West Fest," scheduled for May 1–3, 2026, at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. This event brings together clubs from the region for networking, service, and celebration.

The theme for the 2025-2026 Rotary International speech contest is "Unite for Good," focusing on collaboration and human connection to drive positive change. Speeches should be original, 5-8 minutes, and apply this theme—or principles like the Rotary 4-Way Test—to community

Cowboy Poetry Gathering this week in Elko! 7:30 am this Saturday you can join a group of many artists and friends in a religious gathering at the Elko Senior Center.

Ruby B. Sutton has been such an inspiration to many young women as the founder and director of the Ms. Elko County Pageant and Leadership program.

Congratulations, Pres. Jennifer, it's nice having a young presence at our meetings.

Susan Donavan, community relations for Orla Mining, gave a great presentation about a young community oriented company, since 2016. They are not mining in Nevada yet, but there are great plans in the work including a refinery for a variety of ore. Check them out they have the financial backing to be successful.
