This program is an incredible opportunity and a valuable resource for our youth.

It’s important to understand that this program is not designed for students who have gotten into trouble — that is the purpose of NYTC. This program is for students who need additional support with their education and a structured environment to help them succeed.

BBYCA is a Nevada-accredited high school that provides students with the opportunity to recover credits and work toward graduation. Through its military-style structure, students benefit from an environment that helps reduce many of the distractions they face today, such as phones, computers, and other outside influences, allowing them to focus on their education and personal growth.

If you enjoy working with youth and thrive in a structured, team-oriented environment, this could be a very rewarding opportunity for you!

Additionally, BBYCA is always looking for mentors. Mentoring is simply about giving your time, building a positive relationship, and providing guidance and encouragement to a student who may need a little extra support along the way.

🌹The Missing Man Table.

Many people have heard of it, maybe even seen it, but what does it mean?

This year, we would like to invite any business, restaurant, classroom or household, to join us this Monday in displaying a Table of their own!

Although there is no specific date to officially commemorate the Missing Man Table, the origins take us back to Vietnam.

At the end of the Vietnam War, despite the return of 591 prisoners of war during Operation Homecoming, there were still 2,626 service members listed as unaccounted for.

Both the POW flag and Missing Man Table help to honor the promise listed at the bottom of the flag, ‘You Are Not Forgotten.’

🔘 round table for the everlasting concern
🤍 white tablecloth for purity
🌹 red rose for the ones we hold dear
❤️ red ribbon for continued determination
🍋 slice of lemon for the bitter fate
🧂 dash of salt for the many tears
🍷 inverted glass cannot toast or celebrate
🪑 the empty chair for those still unaccounted

These are the symbolic elements that make up the Table…

We invite you to share your own, some may choose to place a service cover, or many, for a specific loved one, or many. Some place a folded flag given to them in the soberest of ceremonies. Some choose to add a bible to show their faith and love.

Post a photo, share a story, attend a ceremony, wear your poppy this Memorial Day. 🌹
