Most believers assume deception comes through obvious lies, false doctrines, or cult-like teachings. But according to Scripture, the most dangerous deception is far more subtle. It happens when we misunderstand the character of God, especially His goodness.

James tells us plainly, “Do not be deceived… Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:16–17). Yet much of Christianity still struggles to believe this simple truth. When life becomes difficult, many conclude that God is testing them, teaching them through suffering, or using tragedy to accomplish His purposes.

This is where the deception begins.

When we believe God is the source of our hardships, we lose confidence in His love. Instead of running to Him as our refuge, we become hesitant, fearful, and double-minded. But the truth revealed in Jesus is clear: God is always good, always faithful, and always working for our life, healing, and restoration.

Temptation, destruction, and loss do not originate from God. They arise from the world system and the desires that pull us away from trusting Him. The more firmly we establish the unchangeable goodness of God in our hearts, the less vulnerable we become to deception.

So sick of the race or bigot card! Everyone wants to jump on board - nobody can laugh. All they see is race or being prejudice, then call people racist or names when they’re the ones screaming race etc.

For me - is it about race? Never! That should be evident when I have dated men of different race, my daughter is currently in a long-term relationship with a black young man and was in a relationship with a Puerto Rican. My children have close friends of different race. I have good friends who are gay.

This is not about celebrating culture or people who have different ‘views. This is a morality issue!

Do I have a problem with a man singing in Spanish at the Super Bowl? No.

Do I have a problem if he couldn’t perform those songs in English because of the lyrics? Yes.

Why you ask? The Jumbotron simply displays love over hate, and everyone falls all over themselves to applaud his “message”. What they don’t realize is even the message is a distraction. Look at the English version of the lyrics. I can’t even post them here. Look up the English lyrics to T**i Me Pregunto before you trash Kid Rock too.

Robert Ritchie got up and pointed to Jesus. He’s sang about underage girls before and done many questionable things in his life. For that matter, many fans of Jelly Roll don’t like Kid Rock yet both Robert and Jason both use their flawed humanity to point to Jesus.

Guess what? I’m flawed too and I point to Jesus as my Savior! Have I said and done things in my past I’m certainly not proud of? I sure am!

I see so many hypocritical Christians out here trashing on Kid Rock and yet he pointed to Jesus .

Paul before he wrote 20% of the Bible with the inspiration of God murdered Christians for sport! He hunted them and killed them. Any Christian here wanna trash Paul? King David committed adultery and conspiracy to commit murder. God used David for good. Solomon committed idolatry and yet he’s known for his wisdom in the Bible. God used Solomon too.

Anyone wanna trash Paul, David or Solomon?

For me, this isn’t about left or right. It’s not about division. It is about distraction though.

Who is the author of confusion? If you are a Christian, you already know the answer. The devil sits back and laughs at all of us Christians trashing each other.

Every one of us is a sinner but we are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Robert pointed to that while Bad Bunny through his lyrics actually did degrade women. He did that with the backing of everyone who simply applauded “love over hate”. He dances around in a dress not caring he was born a male and is a man.

What’s the difference? Kid Rock used to degrade women with his lyrics. He’s now being vulnerable and repenting and trying to change his flaws. Bad Bunny got up and talked about his genitalia and what he could do with numerous women, and he did that by disguising it as love over hate and heritage.

In this country, we have freedom of speech, and we also have freedom of choice. So, I’m not protesting Bad Bunny himself, but I chose the one who pointed to Christ. Why? Because I’m a Christian before I’m anything political or musically inclined. I’m also Christian before I’m an American.

So, to be blunt - if you care anything at all about your eternity when you’re taken out, which we are never promised another day, people better start choosing what Jesus says about all this garbage and stand for morality and walking the line. People can claim they’re Christian all they want, but you must walk the walk and not just call on him when you’re in trouble but live like garbage, think like garbage, and support garbage.

At the end of the day, you’re feelings on what Jesus says is immoral means nothing when he will FOREVER rule and he has the final say to this world and eternity and every knee will bow to him and answer for their life including me.
