A year ago today our daughter was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer.
Within this last year it was laid heavy on our hearts to give back. I knew I wanted to do something and knew that in time God would tell me what it would be.
While Whitley was in treatment she always had a blanket, sometimes more than one on her or by her side at all times.
When on treatment she would say I’m cold I’m cold more times than I can count. She found comfort snuggling up in her blankets, when she would go for MRI or any of her other scans her blanket was able to go even when her bottle couldn’t. Her blanket was there through almost a year of chemo, it was there in PACU waiting for her after tumor resection. Her blankets became her sense of home when she wasn’t home.
So Whitley’s Way is only fitting to be all about blankets, all about her way and love of her blankets.
I hope that this organization will grow year after year as she does, so that one day when she’s older she can see that she beat cancer and she has a non profit organization in her name in honor of the fight that she fought and WON!
Whitley’s Way is officially open and ready to SERVE the families of children with cancer, to send a token of love even if it just brings one smile I know we will be fulfilled.
Please share this with all of your friends, friends of friends and families.
You may reach out here or via email to put in for a blanket for your loved one.
We are hoping to have blankets to start going out by the end of next week!
We are so humbled by all of the support and love we were shown through Whitley’s battle and are so blessed to be able to start this wonderful business in her name to carry on through her life!
