How did Potter County residents get things done in the 1800s before modern inventions for home and work? Head to Lyman Run State Park for the 2nd Annual Historic Skills Day on Saturday, September 27th and find out!

Experience family-friendly, hands-on demonstrations combined with opportunities to try it yourself.

All Day: cider pressing, butter making, trying a cross-cut saw, learn about dyeing yarn and fabric with natural materials, and try a few historic crafts.

Morning: Spinning Demo and info on heritage breeds of fiber animals: 10 AM – Noon, Dutch Oven Cooking Demos at 11 AM and 1 PM

Lyman Run State Park Historic Skills Day. Saturday, September 27, 2025. 10 AM to 3 PM. Daggett Day Use Area by the playground. Free, all ages.
