If you ever wondered what our recipients say they’re most grateful for - it’s often the notes included with all of our packages. Tucked into snack bags, comfort bags, and care packages, getting a kind ‘thinking of you’ note from a stranger can make a world of difference to our families. Thank you to everyone who has drawn a picture, written a card, and shared support for our Breathing Room families - it truly makes a difference in their lives.

Registration is OPEN for the 2026 Valley Road Run - to be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026! Our presenting sponsor, Fujirebio Diagnostics, is locked in to continue their support of Breathing Room families.

Last year we had more teams and individuals than ever before out to support loved ones, honor a memory, or lighten the load for local families fighting cancer. This event continues to be one of the most beautiful celebrations for all of us at the Breathing Room - and we hope you can join us in September!

Some of the amazing East Oreland Neighborhood Association members stopped by the BRF office to drop off their donation raised through the 5k they hosted for us! It was a great opportunity for them to learn a little more about we do and for us to have a chance to say thank you.

It’s amazing to see how our work continues to grow because of the community of supporters who spread the word about us. We’re so grateful to this fabulous team, not just for the THOUSANDS of dollars they raised through their event, but for highlighting the work of the Breathing Room within their community. Thank you so much!!!

Congrats to the Camraderie 2026 champs! Camaraderie is annual basketball tournament held down the shore in May, which fundraises for the Breathing Room. This is another amazing example of a way to engage your community and passion to support BRF! Thanks to Pat and all the b-ball players for another great Camraderie!

A huge thank you to the East Oreland Neighborhood Association, who hosted their 13th Annual 5k - this year benefitting the Breathing Room! Their amazing committee and community put on a beautiful event, and raised $7,500 in support of BRF families. These neighbor-supporting-neighbor events truly are at the heart of our work, and we are so grateful to everyone who gets it - and works to help lift up local families in their fight against cancer. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
