Do you know a local business that might want to invest in their community, get their name out there, and support local families fighting cancer? It’s not too late to support the Valley Road Run as a sponsor or vendor! WHY making a team, supporting a team, or showing up to run can really make a difference… Sarah Mitchell shares her story:

“We are very excited for our team, Miles for Mitchell, to participate in the Valley Road Run in support of the Breathing Room Foundation again this September! I am super proud to share that proceeds from our team’s registration/donations/sponsorships will be used to establish the Sean P. Mitchell Memorial Fund. Through the Breathing Room Foundation, these funds will be used to grant support to families in Bucks County affected by cancer, specifically those with young children at home.

The Breathing Room Foundation is an incredible organization that did so much for our family when Sean was first diagnosed. They offered us things that we didn’t even know we needed, often just dropping them at our doorstep. When you’re so thick in the weeds of a new diagnosis, these acts of kindness are so impactful - especially when you also have young kids. I am so grateful to the Breathing Room for partnering with me in such a meaningful way. We are going to be able to help support so many families affected by cancer within our own community - starting with this walk!”

We had a huge delivery of care package items from the wonderful team at fxi, who then spent the morning packing up care packages for our recipients. The investment in Breathing Room families from local corporations makes such a huge difference to us. Giving back in your own community builds a stronger community, and we’re so grateful to our corporate partners like fxi who demonstrate that in so many ways!

Ever wonder what a care package from the Breathing Room looks like? Well, it’s different for everyone! Once a recipient is referred, they get a phone call immediately to find out how we can help. Their initial support could then be a delivery of groceries, cleaning supplies, or something more specific! We are lucky to be able to respond right away to their specific needs and support local families fighting cancer - only because of our amazing supporters and volunteers! Thank you for making sure our shelves are stocked and ready to go whenever we get that call ❤️

We have upcoming events to help you start fall with some FUN.
