A small bear with a big message ❤️

Heart Heroes was honored at the Nebraska State Capitol as a proclamation officially declared February 7 through 14 as Congenital Heart Disease Awareness Week.

Omaha Morning Rotary is proud to support Heart Heroes through our Bummer Bear program, helping spread hope, comfort, and awareness for the more than 400 families each year whose children are born with congenital heart disease.

This little bear represents courage, advocacy, and the power of community. We are grateful to stand alongside Heart Heroes and the families they serve. ❤️❤️

We had a fantastic time at Rotary After Hours, hosted by Past President Doug Nodgaard and our generous friends at Equitable Bank. Omaha Morning Rotarians in action this past Saturday morning working with Kinghorn Gardens owners and crew to plant perennials at The Colina Neighborhood Garden located at 19th & Corby in North Omaha. A beautiful example of a public/private partnership to change three former city stormwater lots into a beautiful landscape that the local residents and community can enjoy creating an in-city oasis of beauty, learning, growth and community!
