Last week, we had the opportunity to facilitate a Goal Alignment & Team-Centered Workshop for one of our members, and what a great experience it was!

Through meaningful conversations, interactive activities, and a little fun along the way, participants gained valuable insights into themselves, their coworkers, and how they can work more effectively as a team.

It was exciting to see the group share perspectives, work through challenges, and discover new ways to move forward together.

Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen when we step away from our everyday routines, get out of our seats, and see things from a different perspective!

This is just one example of how WCEDA helps organizations invest in their people, strengthen their teams, and build skills that make a difference in the workplace.

This was SUCH a great YouthBuild visit! 🙌

Through WCEDA’s Kareers4Kids program, the students visited G10 Fulfillment in Delavan, and the G10 team really went above and beyond.

The CEO gave us the tour himself, along with five employees from different departments who shared their own stories and talked about what they do. Then they fed the students lunch before taking everyone out into the warehouse to see how it all comes together.

And, of course, the robots moving carts around the warehouse were a huge hit! 🤖 One employee even let a student put on her wearable scanner and actually scan a few products, place them in the cart, and send them on their way with the robot.

Experiences like this are exactly what Kareers4Kids is about—getting students into workplaces, meeting the people who do the jobs, and giving them opportunities to actually experience the work.

What happens when you bring nearly 100 entrepreneurs, small business owners, side-hustlers, and future business owners together in one place? A whole lot of ideas, connections, and entrepreneurial energy! 🙌

Monday's Small Business Clinic in Elkhorn was filled with conversations, questions, new connections, and practical advice for starting, growing, and navigating a business.

This event was made possible through our partnership with the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Business & Entrepreneurship (OBE), whose Small Business Clinic initiative brings resources and expertise directly to entrepreneurs in communities across Wisconsin. A special thank you to the OBE team and their speakers who brought so much knowledge and experience to Walworth County for the day!

We’re back! 🙌 A new school year means a new group of Career & College Academy - Public Charter High School in Walworth County YouthBuild students and a whole new lineup of career experiences through WCEDA’s Kareers4Kids program.

Yesterday we kicked things off with a visit to an Elkhorn Roofing Co., Inc. residential job site! 🏠 Students got a firsthand look at the work happening on site while learning about roofing, construction, and the career opportunities available in the skilled trades.

Huge thanks to Matt for being an awesome tour guide, answering questions, and giving the students a great introduction to the industry.

What a great way to start this semester’s series—we can’t wait for what’s ahead!

Big operations need skilled people behind the scenes.

G10 Fulfillment got its start right here in Walworth County and has grown into a nationwide fulfillment and logistics operation — with its corporate headquarters still in Delavan.

Keeping an operation like that moving takes more than warehouses and technology. It takes skilled people who understand the equipment, electrical systems and infrastructure that keep everything running.

Right now, G10 is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join its team in Delavan.

It's another great example of the career opportunities you might not realize are available right here in Walworth County — working for companies that are growing, innovating and doing business on a much larger stage.
