A collaboration in action this morning. Organization members of Hunger Ends Here have been working together for over a year to help each other feed individuals and families in Elkhart County. One of the ways Hunger Ends Here has helped has been to have vehicles on loan for members to borrow when they have food and supplies to pick up or deliver. This morning, one of our partners, a member of Hunger Ends Here, was visiting to get food for their facility. It’s beautiful when local organizations can put collaboration over competition and get good work done.

Thursday is DAF Day, and we are celebrating our donors who make a huge difference with their donor advised funds.

In fiscal year 2025-26, donors recommended $15 million in grants from more than 225 donor advised funds at the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. That's $15 million going to nonprofits and causes.

If you've wished giving were simpler, a donor advised fund might fit. You give to your fund and receive the tax deduction right away, then recommend grants whenever and wherever you like. We take care of the details.

This sweet mom and her daughter dropped off a generous donation check today on behalf of the West Goshen Neighborhood Association!

I gave them a little tour of the building, shared more about the work happening here, and of course… sent Thalia home with a little candy haul!
