Thank you Patty for sharing your time, knowledge and wisdom with the students at Jefferson Elementary. Your support of JA means the world to us and the students of Elkhart County!
Thanks for an amazing day!

Learning about money and careers can start at any age! 💙

Patty Gorostieta, AVP, Mortgage Loan Originator, recently volunteered with Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana at Jefferson Elementary School in Goshen, spending the day with second-grade students as they explored careers, financial literacy, taxes, government and voting through interactive activities.

From making pizza and earning pretend money to learning how taxes support the community and participating in a mock election, the students had plenty of opportunities to learn by doing. 📚💰

🎉 And just like that… JA in a Day is BACK in action for the 2026-2027 School Year🎉

We kicked off our first JA in a Day of the school year at Jefferson Elementary, and what a way to start!

The students were amazing- engaged, enthusiastic, curious, and ready to learn!

A huge shoutout to the incredible Jefferson Elementary teachers and staff for welcoming us with open arms and helping make the day such a success. And to the principal, thank you for your support and for creating such a positive environment for our students and volunteers!

THANK YOU to our amazing community volunteers! 👏

JA in a Day would not be possible without community members who take time out of their busy schedules to step into the classroom, share their experiences, encourage students, and help bring Junior Achievement lessons to life. ❤️

Today was a great reminder of what can happen when schools, volunteers, and the community come together to invest in our students.

One school. One day. So many possibilities. Junior Achievement is truly making a difference!
