Sometimes the biggest thing a person needs is someone who still believes in them.

At Upper Room, we see people every day who are rebuilding their lives — finding employment, reconnecting with family, learning to trust themselves again, and discovering that their past does not have to determine their future.

We are more than a place to stay.

We are community.
We are accountability.
We are second chances.
And most importantly, we are hope.

Recovery is happening right here in our community — and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to stand beside us and believe in the people we serve. 💚

We held our annual Board and Assistant Chaplain cookout last evening. Rest assured the Jail Ministry is in good hands!

Our board members are engaged, involved, and always asking the right questions to ensure the Elkhart County Jail Ministry is on mission, accountable, and responsible.

Our Assistant Chaplains come from all different denominations, but are willing to stay focused on the main thing (Jesus) when inside the Elkhart County Jail. They are the epitome of servant leaders who lead by example, showing or incarcerated brothers and sisters, the love of God.

Our staff are incredibly grateful for our Board in our Assistant Chaplains!

(There were two board members and six assistant chaplains who couldn't make it so this group is even more impressive than it looks!)

The Early Learning Partnerships Screening Day Team (comprised of LOGAN's Children's Therapy Services Team and Early Childhood Specialists from The Family Connection of St. Joseph County) will be providing developmental and social-emotional screenings for children 1 month to 5½ years old.
