A special shout-out to our host, Eve LeVeque, who holds space like we’ve never witnessed. Everything we do is intentional, and Eve has continually opened her heart to our community, creating space for us to share our truth, honor our rage, and be witnessed with care. She welcomes the laughter and the tears, recognizing that both belong in our healing.

We have a powerful lineup for y’all on Saturday, including youth sharing their stories—our youngest performer is just 10 years old! Here, we lead by example by making room for our children’s voices and listening to the wisdom they bring. Their truth matters. Our collective truth matters. May we have the courage to hear it and let it move us into action.

🫶 2:00–4:00 p.m. — Community Connection & Interactive Art
Connect with youth and community artists, advocates, organizations, and families from across Indiana. Explore original artwork and merchandise, community resource tables, canvas painting, youth face painting, and henna with Dia—all with music from DJ Certified Grind! Participating youth face painters and henna artists will keep all donations they receive.

🎤 4:00–6:00 p.m. — Main Event
Experience spoken word, poetry, comedy, music, storytelling, and courageous expression centered on child safety, justice, human rights, and collective healing.

☕ The café and 21+ bar will be open 3:00–6:00 p.m.

This family-friendly event is FREE and open to the public. Bring your people, invite someone who needs community, and come ready to listen, witness, laugh, create, and connect. You do not have to carry your story alone.

We hear “billions of dollars” so often that it’s easy to tune it out. But where does it all go? 👀

These are the 10 biggest items in Indiana’s FY2026 General Fund budget. Together, they add up to $17.8 billion—about 77% of the total.

Schools, Medicaid and teacher retirement funding lead the list.

📚 School tuition support includes both public schools and private-school vouchers.

One quick note: this is what was budgeted, not the final amount spent. And these are individual budget items, not each agency’s entire budget.

👀 ELKHART COUNTY: SCHOOL CHOICE INCLUDES PUBLIC SCHOOLS, TOO.

We’re wrapping up this week’s school transfer series with Elkhart County! 🚌

Here’s something worth a look: In every district on this chart, more students attend other public schools than use private-school vouchers.

For students living in the Elkhart school district, the report counts:
🏫 2,571 attending other public schools, including charters.
🎟️ 919 attending private schools using vouchers.

Families have different needs. We can support our local schools, appreciate the people teaching our kids, and respect the options available to families. 💛
