In moments like that, we instinctively reach for the people who matter most, a parent, a spouse, a best friend, sometimes even a stranger standing nearby. Those calls and conversations became small anchors in a day that felt like it was spinning out of control. Twenty-plus years later, those memories are still so vivid for so many of us. There's something so tender about the stuffed animals we hold onto, they're often our first experience of comfort, safety, and unconditional companionship. Long before we had words for our feelings, that worn-out bear or bunny was who we turned to. Sometimes the ones we love most aren't the fanciest, they're the ones that got dragged through every hard night and happy memory alongside us.
