Bellis offers support groups - and lots of empathy and understanding - especially for women whose children are parented by others. We also host a monthly conversation for anyone with any experience in adoption or foster care. After loss of parental rights, the impact of grief can overwhelm all other areas of life. We’re here to help, with in-person and online expert-led support groups.

Bellis created the Stronger Together Peer Support Model™ and Facilitator Training Program to meet the need of addressing ambiguous loss related to custody separation for participants of recovery, mental health, and correctional facilities.

When ambiguous loss remains unaddressed, emotional intensity may escalate, motivation may fluctuate, and program engagement may be affected.

Bellis' trauma-informed model is designed to complement and enhance existing services by addressing emotional barriers that can influence a person's ability to participate fully. Participants report meaningful benefits, including a reduction in isolation and anxiety, and increased emotional steadiness. These benefits often result in a greater sense of self-worth, stronger interpersonal relationships, and improved work and personal life.

Organizations across the country that support people who are not parenting their children can now purchase this training program from Bellis. We equip your licensed professionals to deliver our proven model directly within your own organization.

Stronger Together Peer Support Model™ groups hosted by Bellis are for people who are no longer parenting their children, no matter what the circumstances.

People who seek support at Bellis come to us with a wide array of experiences. This includes adoption, foster care, termination of parental rights, transfer of custody, parental alienation, custody disputes, open child protection cases, and many other circumstances.
