Exciting News!

Please check out the notice below looking for interest in a monthly distribution of free food boxes in Union County. There are no financial guidelines. Open to anyone living in Union County who can benefit from this.

ATTENTION
Union county Residents
Your response needed
Are you currently experiencing food insecurity? Would your household benefit from a monthly food box of non- perishables, meat and/or fresh vegetables and fruit?
If there is a need, Salvation Army of Siouxland would like to set up a once a month (probably 3rd week) on a Saturday to distribute food. The only requirement is that the households be Union county, South Dakota residents. Share this information with your neighbors, friends and family in the community.
Please share any feedback by emailing The Salvation Army with suggestions on food items you would like and if Saturdays is a good day for people to come. We intend for the distribution process to be a quick pick-up. We don’t have a location yet, working on that also. More details once we get something set up. Our hope is that we can get this going for a September date. We encourage people to respond. We would like to get a number, so we know in advance how many households to prepare for.
