THREE DAYS. THREE EVENTS. ONE VERY TIRED GROUP OF LIONS!

Apparently, the Elk Grove Lions Club looked at the calendar this weekend and decided we just didn’t have enough going on!

Friday? Check.
Saturday? Check.
Sunday? WHY NOT?!

Today, we’re firing up the grills AGAIN to support the amazing students of Pleasant Grove High School’s Eagle Force Robotics Team 2073!

These incredibly talented students have put their creativity, engineering skills, and technology education to work building robots, and today they’re putting those robots to the test in an exciting robotics competition!

AND HERE’S THE BEST PART — IT’S FREE FOR THE COMMUNITY!

WHERE: Pleasant Grove High School
9531 Bond Road
Elk Grove, CA 95624

WHEN: TODAY, Sunday, October 25!

Come out, support these amazing young minds, and see firsthand what the next generation of engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers is capable of doing!

Meanwhile, your Elk Grove Lions will be doing what we do best — cooking up some food for the students and volunteers who make this incredible event possible.

Three straight days of serving our community. Are we tired? Probably. Are our cooks questionable? Absolutely. Would we do it all over again? YOU BET!

Because that’s what being a Lion is all about.

Serving Elk Grove since 1951.

Come support Eagle Force Robotics Team 2073! These kids are doing some pretty incredible things, and they deserve a crowd cheering them on!

ELK GROVE, THANK YOU!

Thanks for showing up, for hanging out with us on a Saturday night, and yep, for sitting around watching a chicken take a p**p on a square!

Thank you for buying raffle tickets, drink tickets, and for cheering us on throughout the evening.

Every dollar raised helps us continue giving back to this amazing community we love so much.

We couldn’t have asked for a better night or better people to spend it with!

From all of us at the Elk Grove Lions Club, THANK YOU!

Serving Elk Grove since 1951, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon!

The Elk Grove Lions were at it again! This time at Pleasant Grove Elementary School’s Fall Festival!

The grills were hot, the hamburgers were sizzling, and the hotdogs were ready to join the party. Yes, a few burgers may have been slightly overcooked. But hey, that’s what happens when you put a bunch of Lions in charge of the BBQ!

And of course, our cooks had to sample a few burgers and hotdogs for quality control. Strictly for safety reasons, naturally. We take our responsibilities seriously. Well, some of them.

All kidding aside, we had a GREAT time supporting Pleasant Grove Elementary School and their Fall Festival! It was wonderful seeing so many families out enjoying the festivities, having fun, and making memories.

That’s what being a Lion is all about! Supporting our local schools, giving back to our community, and having a little fun along the way.

Thank you to Pleasant Grove Elementary School for letting us be part of the fun!

TODAY’S THE DAY, ELK GROVE!

After weeks of planning, preparing, asking, reminding, and occasionally begging…

IT’S CARNITAS DAY!

Our Lions are getting everything ready for tonight’s fundraiser.

We’ve got carnitas, a cash bar, silent auctions, desserts, Chicken Drop Bingo, and a room full of Lions who probably shouldn’t be left unsupervised around cooking equipment.

But most importantly, we’re getting ready to welcome the people who make everything we do possible.

YOU. OUR COMMUNITY.

We know it’s been a tough year financially for a lot of people. And we genuinely appreciate everyone who has chosen to support us.

Whether you purchased tickets, donated an auction item, volunteered, or simply shared one of our many posts, you’ve helped.

TONIGHT — SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24
6:00 PM | Elk Grove Park Pavilion

$45 per person | $340 for a table of 8

Every dollar we raise helps us continue serving Elk Grove.

For 75 years, this community has supported our Lions, and we’ve worked hard to return that support.

Tonight is about keeping that tradition alive.

To everyone joining us tonight, we can’t wait to see you!

And to our Lions working in the kitchen…

Remember, we’re trying to raise money for the community, not give the fire department something to do.

THANK YOU, ELK GROVE! LET’S MAKE TONIGHT A GREAT ONE!

ELK GROVE, WE HAVE ONE LAST FAVOR TO ASK.

Tomorrow night is our annual Carnitas Fundraiser.

And we’re going to be upfront with you.

Ticket sales have been slower than we’d hoped.

We understand why. The economy is tough, and families are having to make decisions about where their money goes.

But here’s why we’re still asking.

For 75 years, the Elk Grove Lions Club has been there for our community.

We’ve helped schools, supported youth programs, provided scholarships, cooked meals, assisted families, and worked alongside other organizations to make Elk Grove a better place.

We don’t do it for recognition.

We do it because this is our community, too.

But we can’t do it without your support.

Tomorrow night is an opportunity to enjoy a great meal, have some fun, and help us continue giving back.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 | 6 PM
Elk Grove Park Pavilion

$45 per person | $340 for a table of 8

TICKETS:

If you can attend, we’d love to see you.

If you can’t, we understand. Please consider sharing this post.

And to everyone who has already purchased tickets, donated, volunteered, or supported our Lions over the years…

THANK YOU.

We may joke about our questionable cooking skills, our chicken that p**ps for prizes, and our occasionally questionable decisions.

But one thing we’ll never joke about is how much this community means to us.

ELK GROVE! WE’RE TWO DAYS AWAY AND WE NEED SOME HELP!

Our Lions are getting ready.

The carnitas are being planned.

The cash bar is getting stocked.

The desserts are coming together.

And the chicken is apparently refusing to discuss its performance schedule.

But here’s the problem.

WE NEED MORE PEOPLE AT OUR TABLES!

We understand that money is tight right now. We’re not asking anyone to stretch beyond what they can afford.

But if you’ve been thinking about attending, THIS is the time to grab those tickets!

Our Lions volunteer countless hours throughout the year to help Elk Grove. Fundraisers like this allow us to continue that work.

And if you can’t come, could you do us one favor?

Seriously. That’s it. One little click could put this in front of someone who wants to support our community.

We promise not to make you cook.

We’ve already got plenty of questionable cooks for that.

ELK GROVE, WE KNOW TIMES ARE TOUGH. BUT WE COULD REALLY USE YOUR HELP!

Let’s face it. Everything costs more these days. Groceries, gas, and just about everything else. We get it!

And we’re not going to pretend that spending $45 on a dinner is an easy decision for everyone.

But here’s something we’d like you to consider.

When you purchase a ticket to the Elk Grove Lions Club Carnitas Fundraiser, you’re doing more than buying dinner.

You’re helping us help Elk Grove.

You’re helping us continue supporting local schools, youth programs, families, and organizations that depend on community support.

And yes, you’re also getting delicious carnitas, a cash bar, silent auctions, desserts, and the opportunity to watch a chicken p**p for prizes.

We never claimed to be normal.

EVER WONDER WHAT THE ELK GROVE LIONS ACTUALLY DO WITH THE MONEY WE RAISE?

Well, we don’t spend it all on bacon, pancakes, and questionable cooking equipment.

Although some of our Lions might argue that’s a worthwhile investment.

The money we raise helps us support local schools, provide scholarships, assist families, cook for community organizations, support youth programs, and step up when our community needs a helping hand.

That’s why we’re asking for your support this Saturday.

We know money is tight. We’re feeling it too. But when fundraising slows down, so does our ability to help others.

Our Carnitas Fundraiser is one of the ways we keep that support going.

And we’re only THREE DAYS AWAY!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 | 6 PM
Elk Grove Park Pavilion

$45 per person | $340 for a table of 8

Carnitas, cash bar, silent auctions, dessert auctions, and our infamous Chicken Drop Bingo!

If you can’t attend, please share this with someone who might.

The more support we receive, the more support we can give back to Elk Grove. It’s really that simple.

ELK GROVE! EVEN THE DEAD ARE WAITING FOR YOU TO BUY YOUR TICKETS!

Five days. That’s all we’ve got!

Our Day of the Dead-themed Carnitas Fundraiser is THIS SATURDAY, and we’re still looking for a few more living, breathing people to join us!

We’ve got delicious carnitas, a cash bar, silent auction items, desserts worth fighting over, and of course, Chicken Drop Bingo!

Yes, a chicken p**ping could actually make you a winner. We don’t make the rules. Well, actually, we do.

But here’s why this matters.

Every ticket purchased helps the Elk Grove Lions Club continue supporting local schools, families, organizations, and community programs.

We’ve been serving Elk Grove since 1951, and we need your help to keep that tradition going!

STOP SCROLLING, ELK GROVE!

We’ve got carnitas.
We’ve got margaritas.
We’ve got auctions.
We’ve got a chicken with absolutely no dignity.

What we need is YOU!
