Disasters happen. Some people say “It will never happen to me.” Until it does. Know what to do!

Our free Elk Grove/Galt CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) classes are starting up again. With the disasters over the past years and even current events now is a great time to learn how to be prepared!
We offer 3 levels of classes.
Level 3, our intro class, offers:
· Disaster Prep
· Disaster Medical
· Fire Safety and more!

Level 2:
· How emergency shelters work in the community when disaster strikes

Level 1:
· Become certified as an Emergency Medical Responder

Starting tomorrow, you'll have three days to find your new best friend with NO FEES to adopt!

As part of the Best Friends Animal Society National Adoption Weekend, adoption fees will be waived at 3839 Bradshaw Rd for all dogs and cats, including puppies and kittens, from Friday, September 15th through Sunday, September 17th.

Included in your adoption is their spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date preventatives and vaccinations, microchipping, and a 1-year license for Sacramento County residents. ​The shelter will be open from 12-5pm.
