Gospel of the Day (Matthew 17,14-20)

A man approached Jesus, knelt down before him,
and said, "Lord, have pity on my son, for he is a lunatic and suffers severely; often he falls into fire, and often into water.
I brought him to your disciples, but they could not cure him."
Jesus said in reply, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I endure you? Bring him here to me."
Jesus rebuked him and the demon came out of him, and from that hour the boy was cured.
Then the disciples approached Jesus in private and said, "Why could we not drive it out?"
He said to them, "Because of your little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

St. Maria Goretti Knights of Columbus Council 15589 held its Installation of new officers for the 2026/2027 Columbian year last night at the Parish. District Deputy John Slamkowski presided. New Grand Knight Tom Eichenberg and Deputy Grand Knight Javier Cardenas were among the new Officers installed. Special thanks to David Rios for the assist with some of the photos)

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 250 Hours of Mercy leading up to our Baby Shower for Moms in Need.

We are deeply grateful for the generosity shown to Moms (and families) in Need. Because of your kindness, we were able to collect many gifts that will support mothers and babies served by the Sacramento Life Center. Each donation is a tangible reminder that these families are loved by Christ.

Thank you to all who donated, volunteered, prayed, and participated. Your generosity is a beautiful witness to the Gospel of Life and will make a meaningful difference for mothers and families in need. May God bless you for your compassion, as Jesus reminds us: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)
