Say what, more stuff to pick at the garden. Yet another wonderful morning to make a difference. The volunteers had plenty to pick today. Of course, there was the usual requirement to water and tie up tomato plants. Big harvest today! Great job!

Tuesday at the garden. The plants are growing like crazy, and things are really starting to ripen. There were a handful of us there today to harvest, water, and do the usual up-keep. Great to see our efforts were well worth it.

The heavy downpours at the beginning of July and then intense heat encouraged blossom end rot. We have lost so many tomatoes, zucchini and peppers so far.
This basket is just what we had to throw out today.
We use Rot Stop to add calcium back to the soil after heavy downpours to help.

So much to pick today! It's incredible how quickly zucchini and cucumbers can grow in 4 days.....

A mid-week visit to the garden. The amazing Michelle was already there when I arrived and had picked almost everything that needed it. Thank you for caring so much and getting things done. Susan came by to deliver the produce to the food pantry.

Not a bad haul...cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes... Nice.

A pleasant morning to be at the Garden. A big thank you to the volunteers this morning, we couldn't do it without you. We harvested, tied up tomatoes, watered, and performed maintenance on the rain catchment system. Everything is growing so nicely!

A more comfortable morning at the garden this morning. Though a bit humid, the temp was a bit lower than it's been lately. As always, a great group of volunteers came out to w**d, water, harvest, and plant today. It does seem like the plants haven't enjoyed the extreme heat, but they seem like they're doing alright.
