As you probably saw in President McNeff's November President's Update email, the annual NAFA blood drive has been scheduled. Please consider signing up to donate:

"THERE WILL BE BLOOD"
5th ANNUAL NAFA BLOOD DRIVE
Tuesday, November 15, 2016
09:00 am - 02:00 pm
at the Clarion Inn

We’re preparing to thank the NAFA Field Meet host community of Elk City with our fifth annual NAFA blood drive Tuesday, November 15, 2016, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Look for the Bloodmobile at the Meet hotel, the Clarion Inn.

Go to this link to make your reservation to donate blood!
https://www.yourbloodinstitute.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/213895

Please consider donating this year. Remember blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person — the gift of life. A decision to donate your blood can save a life, or even several if your blood is separated into its components — red cells, platelets and plasma — which can be used individually for patients with specific conditions.

You can click on the link below to access the online schedule:
https://www.yourbloodinstitute.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/213895

Hope you can join us again this year!

We still have a few rooms set aside for Vendors. If you want to be a vendor and be guaranteed a room at the meet hotel you'll need to contact Mario Nickerson ([email protected]) by this Friday, the remainder of those rooms will be released on November 1st on a first come first serve basis anyone coming to the meet.

In a little over three weeks the NAFA meet will be in full swing. Falconers will be in the field pursuing quarry with their birds, hawking stories describing great flights will be shared and friendships renewed. It will be a great time in ELK City, Oklahoma.

Preregistration for the meet closes on October 23, 2016 at 11:59PM eastern time. So, if you have made plans to attend and have not registered, go to the NAFA web site to preregister. It only takes a couple of minutes and saves you some dollars. Additionally, preregistration makes sure that we have enough of those special meet items that you will want to take home to add to your collection.

Each evening the Vendor area is the happening place to be. Whether you are looking for that great piece of falconry equipment, needing to replenish your supplies or just wanting to talk with other falconers there is no better place to be than the vending area. So, if you are a vendor and need a table, please be sure to contact Mario at 817-751-5775 to reserve your space.

We all know that the nightly raffle raises a lot of money to support NAFA and that all of the items are generously donated by falconers and vendors. All donations are greatly appreciated. In fact beginning this year, all donors to the raffle will receive a voucher equal to the value of the donation. The voucher may be used toward covering the cost of advertising in the next years Hawk Chalks. If you have questions about donating to the raffle please contact Robert Huber at 405-334-9534.

We look forward to seeing you at the meet.
