Vietnam War Era Veterans Welcome Home

On 28 March we hosted a Vietnam War Era Veterans event at Bladen Community College. 27 Veterans of that era were honored for their service by the Senate of the North Carolina General Assembly as well as the Department of North Carolina and Post 8062 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Department Commander Edward Beard presented the certificates and personally thanked each of the Veterans in attendance for their service and welcomed them home. The East Bladen JROTC Corps of Cadets provided the Honor Guard and posted the colors. Thanks to everyone who had a part in making this event happen. Special thanks to everyone who made the time to come and honor the service of these veterans.

Hot topic for this month's meeting is our Vietnam War Veterans Event scheduled for the 28th! We need everyone to pitch in to make this a success for the veterans.
We open the doors at around 6pm and usually have a meal of some sort.

Online training March 18th at 7pm. We will be learning all about elections! This training is open for any comrade. A special guest will be attending. Joshua Schreck was last year's National Judge Advocate. He can answer any question you may have as the Roberts Rules expert in the field.

VFW Post 8062 will host a Vietnam War Veterans Commemoration on Saturday, March 28th at 11:00am. The event will take place in the auditorium of Bladen Community College (Building #9 adjacent to parking lot G, 7418 NC Hwy 41 W., Dublin, NC 28332) and will recognize all who served on active duty in the U. S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975.
This commemoration is open to the public and we encourage you to join us as we stand in the company of heroes and express our profound gratitude for their personal sacrifices.
