We are so thankful to Chewy and The Humane Society of United States for blessing Helping Hand of Hope (Helping Hand & North Hardin HOPE) and our county with a trailer full of pet care items at this time of unrest. As more families are in need of food, we are able to supply their pet food also.

Our shelter needs puppy food!

Friends I know we just told you about how bad we need help with our foster supplies but we are now in a tight spot with puppy food as well.

We got lots of puppies that aren't ready for adoptions yet but not a lot of puppy formulated food for them.

If you're feeling generous we could use some Purina Puppy Chow.
You can drop it by or even ship it right to us at 220 Peterson Drive in Elizabethtown, KY 42701.

Hardin County Pet Food Pantry

Our food shelves are empty! 🐾🐾
In 2021 we started supporting Hardin County dogs and cats that have food insecurity. We have distributed a total of 308,915 pounds of food thru the years to 5000 pets per year. But our revenues of food sources have dwindled and left us without a stable supply.

We need your help
to bring our food availability back up. Our biggest need is dogs. We prefer to have 12 lb to 18 lb bags of kibble. They are easier to distribute and handle when serving the community.

Tractor Supply is partnering with the PAWS Shelter Foundation to offer a way for the community to easily purchase food for our pantry.

There are 2 ways to donate

* Go to Tractor Supply Etown location and purchase a bag of food 12 to 18 lbs. Any brand or food will do. They will collect it together for pickup.
* For only $19.07, you can purchase an 18lb bag of Purina dog food from their website and have it sent to the Etown store. You will not pay shipping and they will collect the food for Helping Hand of Hope to pick up.
* Follow this link to purchase from the Etown store.
* This link will take you to a 44lb bag. Choose the 18 lb.
* Choose pick up later in Elizabethtown store.
* At checkout under pickup information fill in person name as PAWS Foundation. Email and phone can be yours. This will alert the store to collect your purchase for PAWS.

The Hardin County Animal Shelter is full. They are having a free fur friend adoption on dogs over 5 months. What a good week to get your fur ever friend!

It may be the first day of Fall but the Dog Days Of Summer Special continues!

What a great way to serve our cats community and learn about the life of cats on the run.

Oohs and ahs rang out from the John Hardin High School small animal technology classroom as students jockeyed for chance to hold or pet one of four black kittens.
