For God's sake .... STOP IT! Stop spreading false news. ESPECIALLY when this news could greatly endanger or destroy other humans as widespread bias are ignited. Just assume that anything outrageous that you hear between now and November is likely politically charged with an agenda and then CHECK YOUR FACTS from UNBIAS reporting agencies whose purpose is to document numbers and facts with no political agenda.
Let's start with this...... the video that you may have seen circulated to "prove" the statement of an illegal immigrant eating a cat is actually a video of AN AMERICAN WOMAN WHO WAS STRUNG OUT ON DRUGS!!!! This happened in CANTON Ohio, not Springfield.
The Ohio community in the headlines (Springfield) IS having a problem. Here's the problem. The community has been in a population decline for 70 years. This means that much of the population is older, because of this there is not a large enough workforce for their factories, which leads to economic demise. The local factories heard of an immigration program that would enable them to bring in younger HARD WORKING human beings who were very EGAR to WORK! This was a GREAT idea that was not fully thought out. The community's social systems (schools, hospitals, etc) were already overstressed.... when people aren't working and paying local taxes there is no money to build more and better schools, etc. So, now the factories are up and running with workers who are being applauded for their hard work.... BUT NOW the social systems need to be bolstered. So... that's what their residents should be focusing on .... because their community NEEDS those new neighbors.
We don't have open borders. You CAN enter at the border legally. It's actually in our constitution. Yes, there is a process, and I believe should be followed. If you want less "illegal immigrants" our immigration system needs an overhaul. But guess what? America GREATLY benefits from immigrants. Most "illegal" ... undocumented... immigrants didn't come here illegally. They became undocumented because our system needs an overhaul. I'm not digging deeper into that right now. Check statistics.
If you want to be outraged.... focus that anger on the drug cartels who easily pass that border and the rich and corrupt who support them. Not on the broken and beaten humans who are desperately running to safety.... trust me those people want to be here properly documented and working...being proud of their accomplishments, paying taxes and pressing for a better future for themselves and those they love.
Politics has you looking the wrong direction.
