Congratulations to Welders Supply & Gases on a fantastic grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration today!

They had it all! Vendor booths, good food hot off the grill, ice cream, tours, giveaways, prizes, friendly staff, a live radio remote, a huge crowd of supporters and perfect weather!

We were honored to be a part of the celebration and officially welcome Welders Supply & Gases to Hardin County.

What a great time we had celebrating manufacturing in our state at the 3rd Annual KAM Off the Clock networking event last night!

Held at the Cavern Club in Elizabethtown, we had a full house of KAM and chamber members from across the state gathered together for networking, collaboration and recognition of the tremendous impact manufacturers make in lives and communities.

On June 19, 1865, Union Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas with over 2,000 troops to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, over two years after the proclamation was issued by President Abraham Lincoln.

The first Juneteenth celebrations began the next year and over time, the celebrations spread across the U.S., celebrating freedom, cultural pride and social justice.

In 2021, Juneteenth became a federal holiday, acknowledging its national significance. It is often known as Freedom Day, Emancipation Day or Jubilee Day.

This very special holiday serves as a reminder of tremendous resiliency and the struggle for freedom, democracy and equity.

We celebrate.
