Samantha's Hugs Samantha always loved hugs and giving hugs. She also loved helping kids.

In honor of her memory, we have created this page which will help us collect stuff animals to donate at KSP stations across KY so that a little child can recieve "Samantha's Hugs"

After some discussion and heartbreaking decisions, we have decided to temporarily stop Samantha's Hugs. We will be back at a later time, but right now Betty is having a hard time physically and I'm not in the best health anymore as well. It is shocking just how much damage grief and depression can do to you physically. Sadly both of us are still dealing with a few emotional and mental demons that come from losing a child.
We want to step back for a moment to take care of ourselves as I am pretty sure Samantha would have wanted us to......I will keep this page open and once we are better.....or as best as we are ever going to get, then we will return. For those we have not picked up yet or delivered, I apologize as sadly things took a quick turn for the worse but we will try to accommodate when we are able.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, who has spread the word, and to the ones who keeps Samantha's love and memory alive.

Betty Cox and myself want to thank you all for the love and donations to Samantha's Hugs....

When we first started this, it was a healing process for us....a way to remember our daughter and hopefully leave a legacy in her name. For those that never got a chance to meet her, you would have fallen in love with her. For those that knew her.....boy was she special to us.....that girl could make you feel better no matter how bad a day you've had.

This community has helped make Samantha's Hugs much bigger than we expected. That's a good thing....I want to be overwhelmed with stuff animals like we are now. This has become something all it's own and it's because of all of you who donate.

Thank you all so much for helping to keep this going.

For anyone who needs to drop off any stuff animals, we will have a booth from 8 am to 2 pm at the Elizabethtown High Sch...

Thank you so much for everyone who has donated to Samantha's Hugs and thank you so much for everyone who came out today and brought a smile with you. What a huge huge success today was and it couldn't have been done without the community donating to us.

I know we have been quiet lately but we have been saving up the stuff animals for this day. This will be our 2nd year doing this and last year was a huge success. Come by and say hi to us and let your child grab a stuff animal. We will be there from Noon until we run out of stuff animals.
