⚡️ Mischief Managed! 🪄

What a magical night at Back to Hogwarts! 🏰✨
A HUGE thank you to all the witches, wizards, families, vendors, and volunteers who joined in the fun!

Special thanks to our wonderful partners at the Elizabethton Farmers Market and Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library for helping us bring a little Hogwarts magic to our community. 🦉💛

From Horcrux hunting to magical adventures, we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Until next year… Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home. ⚡️

Smoking damages nearly every organ in the body and remains the leading cause of preventable disease and death. But here’s the good news: the moment you quit, your body begins to repair itself. 💙

Choosing a tobacco-free life is one of the most powerful steps you can take for your health and our community's future.

Whether you're thinking about quitting, taking your first steps, or supporting a loved one on their journey, remember that you don't have to do it alone.

Small steps lead to big changes. We're here cheering you on every step of the way!

"A note from our Executive Director: A New Chapter

After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to resign from my role as Executive Director of the Carter County Drug Prevention Coalition at the end of 2026.
This is not a decision I have made lightly. Carter County Drug Prevention Coalition has been such a meaningful part of my life, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our community alongside an amazing staff, board, partners, volunteers, and youth. Leaving an organization and people I love is bittersweet, but I know that sometimes growth means having the courage to step into a new chapter.
As I look ahead, I am excited to return more fully to the arts community and continue my work as an Art Therapy Practitioner, serving youth, women, and members of the recovery community through the healing, connection, and empowerment that creative expression can provide.
I am also committed to making this transition as smooth and successful as possible. CCDP will hire an Interim Director of Community Relations, and I will have the opportunity to train and support that person during my transition from the Executive Director role. I hope to leave the organization positioned for continued growth and success and to give the next leader the strongest possible foundation.
I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and deeply thankful for everyone who has been part of this journey. While my role with CCDP will be changing, my commitment to this community—and my belief in the power of prevention, connection, and creative expression—will continue.
Here’s to new chapters, new possibilities, and the work still ahead."

With gratitude,
Nash Acuna
