Positive Eating Program at ETSU Nave Language Center Positive Eating Program (PEP) at the East Tennessee State University Nave Center is a feeding clinic that aids children with feeding and eating problems

Positive Eating Program (PEP) at the East Tennessee State University Nave Center is a feeding clinic that provides assessment and intervention for children who have sensory and behaviorally-based feeding and eating problems. PEP is for children who:
- limit food intake
- are very picky eaters
- have difficulty transitioning to solid food
- have food aversions
- will eat only specific foods

- are highly selective of foods based on texture, smell, taste, or consistency
- have negative behaviors during mealtimes

Join the LAP (Language and Play Group) at the Nave Language Center for a play-based, interactive, and functional group to grow your child’s language skills!
LAP will be held March 5th, 19th, 26th and April 2nd, 9th, 23rd, and 30th!
LAP is for Preschool aged children (3-5 years old)
LAP is $150 (insurance not accepted)

Here is a fun sensory activity to try with your kids!

You will need: peanut butter, brown sugar, cool whip, blue food coloring, construction paper, and goldfish.

How to:
1. Add a few drops of blue food coloring to the cool whip.
2. Use your fingers to paint the bottom half of the construction paper with peanut butter.
3. Sprinkle brown sugar into the peanut butter and pat it down.
4. Use your fingers to paint the rest of the paper with cool whip.
5. Then press the goldfish into the cool whip.

Now you have a portrait of the sea! (See below for a sample that was made in clinic today.)
