Mission Safety International

Mission Safety International The purpose of Mission Safety International is to promote safety and effectiveness in missionary aviation for the glory of God.

Missionary Aviation is not for the faint of heart. Flying in remote and challenging areas of the world to help spread the Good News of Jesus Christ requires years of training and a heart full of devotion. Yet, in spite of the dedication and professionalism of mission aviators, there are still far too many accidents robbing missions of their personnel, resources and effectiveness. However, for near

ly 40 years there has been help and hope coming out of the hills of eastern Tennessee. Since its incorporation in 1983, Mission Safety International (MSI) has worked tirelessly to meet the safety needs of mission aviation departments everywhere. While small and agile as an organization, MSI uses a host of experienced aviation and safety volunteers to meet specific needs, just about anytime and anywhere. At the end of the day, safety means more supplies delivered to needy people, more medical services for hurting people, fewer missionaries making dangerous treks through the jungle, and most of all, more time spent fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Command. April 26-May 1st: MSI President Jon Egeler and MSI ministry partner Garry Barkman are in Manaus, Brazil at the headquarters of MSI member organization “Missao do Ceu.” Please join us in prayer for wisdom, discernment, clarity, and God’s spirit of peace to be evident in every conversation during interviews, planned meetings, and informal discussions. We are thankful and blessed to walk alongside these dear Christian sisters and brothers as they serve to reach people in Brazil’s Amazon region.
