CARTER COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT DONATES $10K TO SUPPORT CARTER COUNTY HONOR GUARD FORMATION

Carter County Mayor Patty Woodby and Sheriff Mike Fraley present Honor Guard Director Shane Fenley with a check for $10,000.00 to support the re-establishment of the Carter County Honor Guard. Any veterans who are interested in being a part of this important mission to provide final honors to our veterans, please contact Honor Guard Treasurer Tony Banchs. You will have to be a current member of the American Legion and specifically Watauga Post 49 for insurance coverage purposes. Tony can be reached at (423) 262-9191. Please text him first if you can so he will know to accept your call.
Training will start as early as May, and we'll need to get you outfitted with a uniform.
