✨ The Lights Are On ✨
Tonight, history shined a little brighter in downtown Elizabethton.
With the flip of a switch by 106-year-old Bonnie Kate patron Virginia Laws, the new marquee came to life, illuminating South Sycamore Street and marking a milestone in the ongoing restoration of this beloved theater.
For a few magical moments, generations gathered together—longtime supporters, community leaders, theater lovers, families, and friends—to witness something bigger than a sign being lit.
They witnessed a promise.
A promise that the Bonnie Kate’s story continues.
A promise that the arts have a home here.
A promise that this historic landmark will continue welcoming audiences for generations to come.
To everyone who joined us, cheered us on, donated, volunteered, shared our posts, attended events, or simply believed in what the Bonnie Kate could become—thank you. This light belongs to all of us.
Special thanks to the City of Elizabethton, Main Street Elizabethton, the Elizabethton Chamber, the Bonnie Kate Restoration Board, Friends of the Bonnie Kate, Elizabethton Community Theatre, Snyder Signs, and the countless individuals whose dedication made this moment possible.
And this is only the beginning.
