Daniel Adams and Jim Ensor Memorial Scholarship Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Must score a minimum
of 19 on the act. All decisions will be final. This is a non renewable scholarship.

Shall be presented to a qualifying senior meeting the criteria of Participating in the Carter County American Little League
Majors Division for a minimum of two years. Must complete and send in a 500 word essay on the topic selected by the board of directors each season by April 30th.The essay will be graded by a gr

oup of teachers selected and approved by the Carter County American Little League Board of Directors. The recipient will be announced as soon as possible. The scholarships shall be funded by no less than twenty percent of banner profits and donations directed to the fund. The recipient shall receive no less than five hundred dollars or the total fund for that season whichever is greater. The scholarship shall continue every season starting in 2010 and continue each season after.

The Daniel Adams/Jim Ensor Memorial Scholarship Committee would like to congratulate Megan Bowers for winning this year’s essay contest. Megan is a senior at Elizabethton High School and participates in several activities at the school. The committee received four applications this year, by far the most ever received. All four essays were excellent examples of what we would expect from such fine individuals. We commend each applicant for their commitment to further their education and fully expect each will go on to great successes in life. Megan will be presented with this award at both the opening day of the Carter County American Little League and Honors Day at Elizabethton High School.

We have received 4 submissions for this years Memorial scholarship. This is the most ever presented to the committee. We are in the process of reading, conferring, and will reach a decision within the week. Thank you to all that have shown interest in this wonderful endeavor to honor the lives of 2 great people.

The Scholarship Committee of CCALL is proud to let you know that we have 2 winners of the Daniel Adams/ Jim Ensor Memorial Scholarship this year... Michael Nave of Unaka High and Chris Range from Elizabethton High will be awarded a $500 scholarship to the school of their choice. Both essays were tremendous and represent our little league very well.... Congratulations to both of these outstanding young men... We will have an award presentation on Friday, April 25th at 7pm on the field and at each schools honors day program...

Carter County American Little League is proud to announce that Weston Colbaugh of Unaka High School is the winner of the Daniel Adams/Jim Ensor Memorial Scholarship. Weston will be awarded a one time $700 scholarship to further his education at ETSU. We appreciate Weston's contributions to CCALL and Summers/Taylor.

The deadline for the CCALL Daniel Adams/Jim Ensor Memorial Scholarship is approaching. Submissions must be postmarked by April 6th. This is a one time $700 scholarship for one high school senior that has played at least 2 years at CCALL. Previous winners include Zack Boles (EHS) and Taylor Edwards (HHS). See your high school counselors for information.

Congratulations to Taylor Edwards of Hampton High School. Taylor is the winner of the Jim Ensor/Daniel Adams Memorial Scholarship Essay. Taylor will be attending Milligan College this fall and playing baseball for the Buffs. We, at the Carter County American Little League, are very proud to have young men like Taylor come through our program.
