Friends of the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter Not the shelter, but here for the shelter and the community and animals it serves. We are entirely non-profit, and volunteer-ran. We are doing wonderful things!

Please support us as we complete the building of the non-profit spay & neuter clinic. We are a 100% volunteer-run, non-profit organization that uses your donations, organizes fundraising events, and gets grants to:

1. Help the government-run Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter by:
- funding and project managing specific building improvements, such as enclosing the outdoor dog kennels l

ast year, and solving a bad waste disposal problem in the dog kennels.
- providing funds for medical care for injured, abused, and senior animals in the shelter when their budget doesn't cover it

2. Build, and will run, a low cost Spay/Neuter Clinic in Elizabethton to reduce the over-population of cats and dogs

3. Help local pets through:
- twice yearly low cost Vaccine Clinics
- providing pet food as and when we get granted it
- educating and increasing community awareness of the need to spay and neuter and reduce animal cruelty
We have been in existence since 2010 and we actually contributed about 25% of the cost of building the current shelter when it was first built. Our mailing address: P.O. Box 1583, Elizabethton, TN 37644

We are not the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter , but we support the shelter and the community and animals it serves.
We advocate for adoption.
We advocate for spay and neuter. And as many of you know, we are working hard towards building a spay and neuter facility. (We have a donation Link in our profile).
We advocate for responsibility towards pet ownership. And we try to share tips on how to best take care of animals.
We are also a big believer that there is a home for every animal.
And we just want to take a moment to thank you all for bringing pets into your family.
