🎒📚 Another Year, Another Success! 🙌🏾

Team Interrupters Inc. would like to thank everyone who helped make our Back-to-School Giveaway another success!

A special thank you to Rodriguez, William Johnson, Elizabeth Parents & Students Care, Mount Teman AME Church, the Elizabeth Education Association (EEA), and The 40 Dawgs for their generous contributions and sponsorship. We also appreciate The 40 Dawgs for providing the live music and helping bring great energy to the event! 🎶🙌🏾 And of course, a huge shoutout to our DJ for keeping the music and vibes going throughout the day! 🎧🔥

Thank you to the City of Elizabeth for joining us and providing families with valuable resources, helpful information, and free giveaways. 🤝🏾

We also appreciate the parents who rolled up their sleeves to help with setup, distributing supplies, and breakdown, as well as our high school mentees who volunteered and earned community service hours while giving back.

It truly takes a village! ❤️ Thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored, volunteered, contributed, or simply showed up to support our youth and community.

August 15, 2026.
Last Saturday’s topic with our mentees was “Overcoming Fear.”

During our discussion, our youth described fear as being scared of something that could affect their past, present, or future. They openly shared some of their own fears, including heights, drowning, losing a loved one, not being successful, and even bugs.

We talked about how fear can develop from past experiences, certain situations, or even things we’ve seen happen to people we know. If we allow it, fear can keep us inside our comfort zone and prevent us from meeting new people, asking for help, trying new things, standing up for ourselves, and reaching our full potential.

Our mentees also learned practical ways to begin facing their fears:

* Take deep breaths and remain calm.
* Make a list of fears from least scary to most scary and work through them one step at a time.
* Lean on someone you trust, such as a family member, friend, mentor, or another supportive person.

The goal isn’t always to become completely fearless. It’s learning that we can still move forward even when fear is present.

We ended our session with a powerful affirmation:

“Fear will not control my future. I choose courage, growth, and confidence. I will take one step forward this week.”

Another great session of learning, sharing, and growing together! ❤️

💚 August is National Wellness Month! 💙

At Team Interrupters Inc., we’re reminding everyone that taking care of yourself matters too. We spend so much time showing up for our families, our communities, our careers, and the people who depend on us…. but we can’t forget to make time for ourselves.

Take a moment to pause, recharge, move your body, fuel your body, protect your peace, and check in with the people around you. Even the smallest act of self-care can make a difference.

Remember: Wellness looks different for everyone, and making time for YOU is never time wasted. 🌿💚

Your well-being matters. Be well. Stay well. You matter.

We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Mount Teman AME Church for allowing us, for the 8th year straight, to host our Annual Bike & Carwash Fundraiser at your location.

Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy Saturday to stop by, get their vehicle washed, and support our youth!

Thank you to those who couldn’t make it but still sent donations.

Thank you to everyone who shared, reposted, promoted, and helped spread the word.

And a HUGE thank you to our parents who came out, rolled up their sleeves, got wet and dirty with us, helped wash cars, held signs in the street, assisted with supervision and ratios, and did whatever was needed to help make the day a success. 💪🏾❤️

Most importantly, OUR YOUTH HAD A BLAST! Seeing them work together, have fun, engage with the community, and take pride in raising funds for their own youth program is what this event is all about.

🎉 8 YEARS STRONG! 🎉

If you couldn’t make it today but would still like to support our youth, donations are still being accepted:

💵 Cash App: $teaminterruptersinc
💙 Venmo: Team Interrupters Inc
🅿️ PayPal: Team Interrupters Inc
🏦 Zelle: 908-603-9458

100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser go directly toward supporting our youth program.

Again, THANK YOU to Mount Teman AME Church, our parents, donors, supporters, volunteers, and the entire community for continuing to show up for our youth.

Learning, Creating & Preparing! 🚲🚗🧽💦

As we prepare for our 8th Annual Bike & Carwash Fundraiser next week, our mentees had the opportunity to get creative and make their own signs to help grab attention and bring traffic into the car wash! 🎨🙌🏿

But this activity was about more than just making signs. Our youth learned about teamwork, creativity, communication, marketing, and the importance of playing an active role in making an event successful.

Next week, they’ll get to put their work to the test as they hold up the signs THEY created and help bring customers in! 💪🏿🔥

The countdown is on! 8th Annual Bike & Carwash Fundraiser….. here we come! 🚲🚘🧽

Today’s Curriculum: “Who Are You? Who Am I?”

Today’s session sparked meaningful conversations as our mentees explored identity, self-awareness, and personal growth. Everyone was actively engaged, sharing thoughtful feedback and encouraging one another throughout the discussion.

Following the group conversation, each mentee completed a reflective worksheet where they answered questions about how others see them, how they see themselves, who they aspire to become, and who they truly are. It was inspiring to see them respond with confidence, honesty, and self-reflection.

We are proud of the maturity, participation, and positive energy displayed by our youth today. Sessions like these help build confidence, strengthen character, and encourage our mentees to become the best versions of themselves.

July 11, 2026.
Today’s lesson focused on BUILDING TRUST, which is one of the most important foundations of healthy relationships, leadership, and personal growth.

We explored:
The 4 Pillars of Trust (Consistency, Transparency, Accountability & Reliability)
What I Can Control vs. What I Can’t Control
Building Trust Worksheet, where each mentee reflected on trust, how it’s earned, how it’s broken, and what it takes to rebuild it.

Our mentees were fully engaged from start to finish. The participation, discussions, and positive energy in the room made today’s lesson a huge success.

At our Elizabeth Hub Site, we’re committed to helping our youth develop not only academically and socially, but also emotionally by equipping them with life skills they’ll carry into adulthood.

One lesson at a time. One conversation at a time. One life at a time. 💙
