Commemorate Black History Month with the Union Township Historical Society. February 22 from 2-5 PM visit the Caldwell Parsonage to see two special exhibits!

Admission is free and no reservations are needed.

Volunteers from JFK Assembly 0666 and the Union Knights of Columbus 4504 gathered today to collect and retire the wreaths.

This officially marks the end of the 2025 Wreaths Across America season and we now move onto the 2026 season. Thank you to all our volunteers and the Elizabeth DPW for allowing us to drop off the wreaths.

Thank you to all who came out to honor and remember our veterans today during the Wreaths Across America ceremony. 🇺🇸
Today we honored 173 veterans and ensured their memory and service are not forgotten.

Our sincere thanks to all our supporters including:

Mayor Chris Bollwage who helped the ceremony get started at this location 11 years ago. Thank you for your unwavering dedication to our program and the history of our location.

The Elizabeth Honor Guard for attending and always giving the veterans such a beautiful tribute.

Knights of Columbus JFK Assembly 0666 and the Elizabeth Garden Club, who our loction co-sponors.

The Union County Commissioners for their generous donation every year to ensure no veteran is forgotten.

Main Street Movers located in Morristown who kindly donation their time and trucks to deliver wreaths to our location every year.

Boy Scout Troop 25 who for 10 years now has made the yearly journey in from Staten Island to join us for the ceremony.

The Synder Academy for opening their doors to us and for allowing us to hold this event there every year.

And last but not least to all our individual donors and volunteers who generously supported our mission. Our ceremony wouldn't be what it is without you.

Today is the day! Please join us today at the Synder Academy as we gather to honor our nation's heroes. The ceremony will start promptly at noon to synchronize with the other Wreaths Across America Ceremonies being held nationwide! Please remember to dress warm, after the breif ceremony we will gather outside to lay the wreaths.

Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who donated! Thanks to your generosity, we will be able to honor every veteran interred at the First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth Cemetery with a wreath during the Wreaths Across America Ceremony this year on December 13th.

Thank you for helping us fulfill our mission to remember, honor, and teach about our nation's heroes.

Any other donations made to our location this year will be rolled over to next year. All donations are tax deductible.

Our site coordinator Leonard Komar was interviewed about our location on Wreaths Across America radio. His interview brings up two wonderful points. The first, the success of our ceremony is truly a group effort and we couldn't do it without the support of donors, volunteers, and other supporters who assist us.
The second, is that we honor more than just a name on a stone. The Wreaths Across America program allows us to honor, remember, and teach about the individuals buried beneath the stones and their lives and sacrifices.
