Before the monument was unveiled, there was a mission.

The 313+ Ancestors Speak Project honors the lives, history, and legacy of the 313+ ancestors buried in Elizabeth, NJ — preserving a story that deserves to be seen, shared, and carried forward.

As Elizabeth prepares to commemorate America’s 250th, this legacy belongs at the center of the conversation. Because Elizabeth’s history is America’s history.

Visit 313AncestorsSpeakProject.org to learn more, experience the monument, and join us for upcoming Juneteenth activities.

You don’t have to golf to show up for the ancestors.

The Gathering at the Lunch Table is our lunch-only option—hosted by former NFL Tight End, Fed Baxter—for anyone who wants community, conversation, and a meaningful way to support the 313+ Ancestors Speak Project.

Come for the lunch. Leave connected to the mission.

We’re gathering on the course—so the ancestors can be heard.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, join us for the 313+ Ancestors Speak Golf Classic Fundraiser at Galloping Hill Golf Club hosted by former NFL Tight End Fred Baxter.

This isn’t just a tournament. It’s a commitment to the work of the 313+ Ancestors Speak Project—honoring 313+ enslaved and free African ancestors buried on the grounds of Siloam-Hope First Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, NJ through memorialization, research, and story.

Click the link below to Register to play, sponsor to lead, or donate to support the mission. The golf is the gathering—but the stories are the reason.
