First week of 2026 was a good week of camp it may had rained at least once a day but it was still a good experience Troop 162 Scouts accomplished the merit badges they set out for and made some memories along the way. Hope the rest to Summer camp is as good or better for the rest of 2026 campers at Camp Daniel Boone

Monday night, Cub Scout Pack 125 celebrated their Arrow of Light crossover, with Troop 162 and Troop 505 there to welcome the newest Scouts into the next chapter of their journey.
As their Arrow of Light leader, I couldn’t be more proud. It’s been an honor to watch these Scouts grow, and I’m excited to see them continue their adventures and develop new skills, friendships, and leadership as members of Scouting America Troops.
The trail ahead is full of opportunity—keep moving forward!

Troop 162 recently completed a roadside cleanup as part of our service to the community. The Scouts worked hard and showed great dedication, removing 25 bags of trash, over 40 feet of orange coax cable, one large truck tire, one standard truck tire, and four misplaced political signs from local roadside and ditches.
We’re proud of the Scouts for their teamwork and commitment to keeping our community clean and safe. Their efforts made a visible difference, and their service truly reflects the values of Scouting.
