Our Story

With local roots dating to 1950, Girls Incorporated of the Albemarle responded to the changing needs of girls and our community through research-based programs and advocacy that empowers girls to reach their full potential and to understand, value, and assert their rights. In that time we served over 300 young women in Northeastern North Carolina.

Our Mission Statement was to inspire all girls to be: Strong (healthy), Smart (educated) and Bold (empowered).

We have grown as a franchisee of the national Girls Incorporated umbrella and we appreciate the time we have been a part of the organization.
