It is our desire to help our athletes keep Christ first in life. Mission Statement:
Elizabeth City Crusaders is a highly competitive athletic program for homeschooled
student-athletes who are in middle school and high school. We seek to provide our
players with athletic training as well as guidance related to good character development,
teamwork, and integrity in an environment centered on exempl
ifying the behavior and
teachings of Jesus Christ as presented in the Holy Bible. Who We Are:
Elizabeth City Crusaders, a highly competitive sports program for homeschooled
student-athletes, is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization whose home gym is
located in Elizabeth City, NC. We are a member of the NCHEAC (North Carolinians for
Home Education Athletic Commission) and are thereby considered to be a sanctioned,
non-member team of the NCHSAA (North Carolina High School Athletic Association). Our athletes are middle and high-school-aged and come from the Albemarle Region of
North Carolina to include but not limited to Pasquotank, Camden, Perquimans,
Currituck, Chowan, Gates, and Bertie Counties. We compete against other homeschools in the NCHEAC
league as well as private school and public school teams in the area which are
considered non-conference. Our organization is completely volunteer-driven, we are more than “just sports,” we are
a community. Our players and families highly value building relationships that are long-
lasting and extending beyond the game. We build eternal friendships.
