Our best hope for protecting the freedom of people and advancing the gains of the NAACP is by becoming a member and vowing to be more active, more vocal and more visible. Membership automatically entitles members for discounts and benefits at more than 15,000 participating vendors through the NAACP Perks Programs. The local branch was organized in 1971 and chartered in 1975, its objectives are to ensure community empowerment, create a positive attitude with all ethnic groups, continue the tradition of voter registration and push education, encouraging all that Membership is Power!
