U-46 Educational Foundation We are creating opportunities that expand student learning and well-being in School District U-46.

The U-46 Foundation was created to cultivate educational programs and activities not typically financed with tax dollars. The primary means of fundraising is through individual and corporate donations. Private resources play an important role in supporting activities that go beyond the district curriculum. Work on the Foundation began in 2006, when a core of community leaders and longtime district supporters came together to recruit board members, establish bylaws and seek non-profit status as a 501(c)(3) organization. In August of 2007 the Foundation became a reality and was introduced to the community.

You’re just three days away from El Trote de las Calacas 5K Race and Cultural Event! 🎉 Join us at Gail Borden Public Library (270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin) on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 9 am for food, music, a live Tamborazo band, face painting, a cultural marketplace and so much more. 🤩👏

Only two weeks left to register for El Trote de las Calacas! You won’t want to miss the 5K and all of the fun before and after the race! There will be face-painting, music, entertainment, an outdoor cultural marketplace, las Catrina’s, a tambarazo to lead walkers, and much more!

Race starts at 9 a.m., and last day to guarantee a race day T-shirt with your registration is September 30!
